Thank you for visiting my Blog. It’s hard for me to believe that PhotoWalks has entered its 8th season! It’s been an amazing journey. I had no idea where my entrepreneurial dream was going to take me, but I braced myself for the twists and turns of the ride. What an experience it’s been so far.

On May 1, 2002, PhotoWalks began with only two tours: Beacon Hill and the Public Garden. Four days later, I was so excited to receive my first phone call for a tour of Beacon Hill. By the time the first season ended, over 100 people took a photo tour. PhotoWalks has come a long way since then. Believe it or not, I consider my first season one of my greatest successes. The business was new, there was little publicity or Internet exposure and over 100 people somehow found PhotoWalks. Today, there are five PhotoWalks tours. Plans are in the works for photo tours in other cities in the near future.

The greatest joy that has evolved out of PhotoWalks for me is meeting so many wonderful people over the years. We meet as strangers and end up having a connection after walking around Boston for less than two hours. Thank you so much for your support, interest, and enthusiasm. You encouraged me to launch more photo tours and expand my business. I am thrilled to receive your e-mails with creative pictures. I have also learned from so many of you too! Sharing our knowledge with one another is so rewarding, isn’t it?

What are my plans for this Blog? Oh…to let you know what’s new, what’s next and what’s happening at PhotoWalks. Every now and then, I’ll include a photo tip that will help take your photography skills to a new level or website that may be of interest.

Many people have asked me about photo tours at night. I am in the process of creating two new night tours to launch in April: the North End and Back Bay. Each area is abuzz with activity at night, which makes for creative photo opportunities! Keep checking my blog for updates.
